  一、教材依据:

  牛津小学英语 6a unit 1  public signs  a部分 listen,read and learn(第二课时)

  二、教学目标:

  1 能正确地听、说、读、写词汇 always, question, ask mean, must, should.能正确地听、说、读词汇public, sign, cousin, danger, away, bird, cage, quiet, make noise.

  2 能正确地听、说、读、写句型 what does…mean? it means…

  3 能听懂、会说和会读日常交际用语 there are a lot of signs here. they mean different things. keep off the grass. be quiet.

  4 能正确地理解、掌握a部分对话内容,并能朗读、初步表演对话。

  三、教学重点:

  能正确地理解、掌握a部分对话内容,并能朗读、初步表演对话。

  四、教学难点:

  能比较流畅的朗读对话,并在掌握对话的基础上,运用本课所学语言来描述公共场合的标志及它们的意义。

  五、课前准备:

  a 单词、句型卡片。课文中人物的头像。

  b 设计并制作多媒体教学课件。准备多媒体教学的设施。

  六、教学过程:

  step 1  warm up      1.greetings

  2.sing a song together 用《伦敦桥要倒了》的曲调唱:

  it means you shouldn’t smoke.you shouldn’t smoke.

  it means danger.you must stay away.

  (设计意图:轻松愉快的歌曲,激发了学生的学习热情,同时也活跃了课堂气氛,使整个课堂都生动起来)

  3.free talk(1)t: what are we doing now?

  s: we are having an english lesson.

  t: what should we do ? look at the public sign.

  what does it mean?

  s: it means be quiet.

  t: so we shouldn’t make noise here.

  (设计意图:这个导入教学的对话设计是从关注学生开始,一步一步地导入“公共标志”这个话题,学生会感到既熟悉又自然。)

  (2)检查学生课后收集的公共标志并交谈。如

  t:what does this sign mean?

  s:it means “no smoking”.

  t:can i smoke here?

  s:no, you can’t. you shouldn’t smoke here.

  step 2  presentation and practice 1  t: now i want to ask you some questions.can you answer me ?

  teach:  ask   question

  (采用齐读,分组读及开火车读等方式练习)

  2 呈现教室场景,出示禁止乱丢垃圾的标志,引出no littering。

  t: where are you now?

  s: we are in the classroom.

  t: what does this sign mean ?

  s: it means no littering.

  3 呈现医院和危楼,同桌操练对话,询问不同标志的意义,从中引出danger,keep off the grass,be quiet等标志牌.由第三个标志,引出cage,bird’s cage及短语:stay away from ;在对学生进行评价时,引出always (you always do good jobs.)

  teach: bird’s cage, stay away from, always.

  4 由标志引出课题:unit1 public signs

  t:带读标志 what are they ?

  s: they are public signs.

  t: they mean differernt things.

  teach: public signs ,  mean different things

  (教师在描述时放慢语速,利用手势和动作让学生理解这几句话)

  5 呈现公园场景,师生对话

  t: where are they now ?

  s: they are near the park.

  t: what does this sign mean?

  s: it means no parking.

  呈现课文中的两个人物

  t: who is the tall boy ?

  s: he is ben.

  t: the little boy is ben’s cousin , jack . how old is jack ? guess!

  引出he is only four years old.

  teach : cousin   only   …years old

  6 t: now let’s listen to the tape and answer the questions:

  (学生欣赏a部分flash课文对话,回答问题:)

  1)what day is it today?

  2)who are in the park?

  3)what can they see in the park?

  4)what are they talking about?

  5)how many public signs does jack learn?

  6)what do the signs mean?

  (设计意图:由于本篇对话篇幅长,内容多,且单词容量大,所以不宜采取整体呈现对话的形式。因此在设计本环节时采取了先分层,后整体的形式。阶梯性地先分散学习单词和短语,然后再整体地来学习对话。另外,教师围绕事情的发生、发展和结局设计了一系列的问题,这样安排有利于教学效果,也有利于培养学生获取信息的思维品质。)

  step 3  listen read and say

  1 听录音,模仿跟读课文的对话内容(设计意图:通过听音模仿,训练学生良好的语音、语调。)

  2重点练说,采用多种形式,提高学生说的兴趣(设计意图:采用齐读,分组读等方式进一步培养学生的语言表达能力。)

  3分组、分角色朗读对话,老师巡视并给予个别辅导。

  4再听对话录音,完成本课填空练习,并进行检查。(设计意图:通过阅读课文、填写课文主要内容的形式,加深了学生对课文的印象,培养了学生的理解能力。)

  step 4  practice and consolidation

  游戏方法:教师安排学生为学校的各种建筑及机构设计标志,并在下面注明相应的英文标志语,培养学生的想像力和创造力。并用“招标”的方式,以小组为单位,上台展示自己的作品,回答大家的提问:what does this sign mean?it means……(设计意图:活动的过程旨在培养学生的语言运用能力,而活动的结果则是对这一语言活动的评价和反馈)

  step 6  homework:

  1摘抄本课的四会单词及含有四会单词的句子

  2 给你的教室设计一些标志牌,并用英语注明意义

  3 听课文录音,熟读并背诵

  4 完成补充习题c和d部分

  教学反思

  教学是师生进行情感交流的过程。宽松和谐的情感体验能使学生乐于表达、乐于交流,使其充分地参与其中,并进行自我表达与个性展示,使学习成为一种自觉的情境化的交谈。本课就是一节真实、自然、生动而又有趣的小学英语课。在教学过程中,我有以下几点体会:

  一、由于公共标志与学生的生活息息相关,所以我让他们在课前收集相关资料,再在课上进行讨论,不仅巩固了学生对句型和单词的掌握,更锻炼了学生的综合语言运用能力。

  二、在教学中,体现了以学生为中心的原则,成功实现了教师角色的转化。使教师从单纯的示范者转化为情景的设计者和学习的指导者,通过卡片、图片和多媒体课件生动展示教学情景,帮助学生理解语言的结构和意义。

  三、在教学中,给学生提供模仿、体验、实践和创造性运用语言的机会,并在活动中适时地表扬和鼓励学生,保护学生的自信心和学习的自觉性,使学生真正学有所获。

  四、注重激发学生的学习兴趣,通过设计符合学生生理和心理的活动来丰富课堂教学,如warm-up中的说唱英文歌曲,使学生很快融入英语氛围。另外,我通过设计阶梯性的练习,使学生学之能用,学之即用。既培养了学生的协作精神,又培养了学生的交际能力,充分发挥他们各项职能特征,真正体现了英语学习的交际性。

  五、在英语课上,我全力肯定学生的一切努力,保护、激励学生的一切创造欲和尝试。我一贯以不同的标准评价不同层次的学生,对学生的课堂活动都给予发自内心的赞赏,肯定他们的点点滴滴的进步,真诚地称赞他们:“you are so clever. i love you.”  “that is a good boy.”或点点他们的小鼻子。学生从我的举手投足中感受到了我对他们的爱意和鼓励性评价,对他们能力的肯定和进一步的期望,体会到了自己的生命价值。逐渐消除了用英语交际的胆怯心理,树立了参与课堂活动的信心。

  叶澜教授说:“课堂蕴含着巨大的生命力,只有师生的生命力在课堂教学中得到有效的发挥,才能真正有助于新人的培养和教师的成长,课堂上才有真正的生活。”因此,我们应从生命层次,用动态的观念诚心构建英语课堂教学观——让英语课堂充满交际活力,让课堂成为学生的家园。

  教材简析:

  本单元主要围绕“公共标志”这个话题开展各项活动,所涉及到的日常交际项目有介绍、询问、忠告和建议等。本课是第一课时,以“询问公共标志含义”及其应答为重点内容。

  教学目标:

  1、语言知识目标:

  (1)能听懂、会说、会读和会写单词和词组public, sign ,mean, danger, grass, keep off, quiet, smoke.

  (2)能听懂,会说和会读日常交际用语:keep off the grass ,be quite ,no smoking ,no littering ,no parking, no eating or drinking, danger ,do not touch.

  (3)能听懂,会说、会读和会写句型:what does it/this /that sign mean ?it means …

  2、语言能力目标:

  在日常生活中能用英语熟练表达一些公共标志的含义。

  3、情感态度目标:

  (1)在多元化的学习过程中自主学习。

  (2)在任务型学习活动中能灵活应变,学会创造。

  (3)在小组活动中,展示各成员的掌握、运用语言的综合能力。

  4、文化意识目标:通过学习,增强学生环保意识和自我保护意识。

  教学重难点:

  (1)听懂、会说、会说和会拼写单词public, sign ,mean, danger, grass, keep off, quiet, smoke.

  (2)能听懂、会说、会说和会写句型what does it /this/that mean? it means…

  (3)句型与短语相结合在实际情景中的具体运用

  设计理念:

  根据《英语课程标准》设计理念:

  1、从学生的学习兴趣和生活经验出发,倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式和任务型的教学途径,发展学生的综合语言运用能力。

  2、小学英语课堂,必须树立“语言学习的外延和生活外延相等”的观念,教师要围绕(在生活中、通过生活、为了生活)”设计教学活动,从生活和英语的结合上,探索有效途径。

  3、尊重差异,让每个孩子都有成功的体验。

  4、拓展学生的文化视野,发展他们跨文化交际的意识和能力。

  设计思路:

  在设计教学时结合本课的教学目标和六年级学生的特点,,充分利用多媒体教学手段,创设了一个学生很熟悉的校园环境,在校园里不同的地方出现的不同的标志,让学生觉得说英语并不难,从而体验到用英语交流的兴趣和愉悦感。

  教学过程:

  step1、warming up

  1、greetings

  (目的   :与学生互致问候,进行交流沟通,实现师生互动,创造一种宽松、和谐的氛围,以达到情感交流的目的,为教学做好铺垫。)

  2、listen to a song “the signs in the park”.

  (目的:教师在放歌曲的同时,出示歌曲中相应的标志牌,提前进行渗透。)

  step2 、presentation

  1、learn ‘no smoking  no parking  public sign’

  t: today is the first day of school. mike is visiting his new school with his father. they make some mistake when they visit the school.please find them out。

  (目的:这个活动不但能够激起学生的好奇和好胜心理,也能让整节课的内容贯穿其中。)

  at the school gate

  (课件放映录像mike的爸爸将车停在校门口下车,点燃一支烟)

  ss:you are smoking.(smoke-smoking)

  (课件出示mike正准备拿一瓶液体化学物质)

  t:there is a bottle of wet goods(液体物质),can mike touch it?

  ss:no,he can’t.

  ss:it means ‘danger’.

  (目的:以tpr形式在不知不觉中引出,do not touch,学生对此喜闻乐见,同时通过do not touch引出danger,  学生感到自然易懂)

  3、learn  ‘keep off the grass  no littering’

  a.in the playground

  (课件出示mike将垃圾扔在操场上)

  t:can you find mike’s mistake.

  ss:yes.

  t:he can’t litter the rubbish in the playground.

  出示:先出现一片绿油油的草坪,(教师用赞美的语言how  beautiful!)

  (目的:语言要在情境中教,在情境中学,有情境的英语教学才能激励学生的学习兴趣和积极性,提高了学生理解知识、运用语言的能力。)

  step3.practise

  1、bingo

  (目的:这个游戏能过加强学生对所学单词的记忆。)

  2、magic eyes(部分提示猜出标志)

  b:it means…

  (目的:这个活动的安排不但能巩固已学的标志和句型,也能够调起学生的兴趣)

  step4. consolidation

  1、listen to the tape and read after it.

  2、play a game .‘quickly respond’

  (老师课前先收集一些生活中的标志,让学生分组进行抢答)

  (目的:快速反应的游戏让学生的注意力高度集中,而且增加了学生课外知识的容量)

  step5.homework

  1、write the new words and the sentences.

  2、find some other public signs in the daily life.

  3、listen to the tape.

  2、能流利地朗读公共标志的单词(版块b) :no smoking  no littering, no parking, do not touch, danger, no eating or drinking,  keep off the grass ,be quiet。

  3、能听懂并理解句型:what does this sign mean?

  二、教学重点:

  1.四会单词的拼写。

  2.公共标志的朗读

  三、教学难点:

  能正确表述公共标志的意思。

  some word- cards   some pictures   small blackboard

  五、教学过程

  step 1. warming up

  step 3. review the public signs.

  1. today we’ll learn a new lesson :  unit 1 public signs

  (write on the blackboard.).

  2、take out the small blackboard ,i give you some places.

  hospital  classroom  sidewalk  school  reading room

  (then show some pictures of public signs.)

  2.t: what does this sign mean?  s: it  means  ‘no smoking ’.

  it means you shouldn’t smoke.

  (the same way to review the other public signs)

  3、ask the students to put the public signs on the correct  places.

  step 4. teaching the other public signs. 

  1、t: let’s go to the park.

  ss: ok.

  t: look , there are some buildings in the park. near the park , there are two public signs there. let’s go and see. what does this sign mean ?

  it means ‘danger’.

  (teach  danger .)

  it means we must  stay away from it.

  (teach  must  \  stay away from )

  2、the same way to teach “do not  touch”、“keep off the grass”、“be quiet”

  keep off the grass.   it means we shouldn’t walk on the grass.

  be quiet.  it means we shouldn’t make noise.

  do not touch.   it means we shouldn’t touch it.

  step 8  teaching  thinkings

  本节课以词组和句形为重点,课堂上我通过去游公园为线,发现public signs,并开展教学,让学生在情景中认识标志,并熟练朗读。课堂上以多种形式进行操练,让每一位学生都能会说会认,最后通过游戏,玩卡片的形式结束课堂。学生乐说,爱说,积极性挺高。英语表达达到了预先的效果,但是对于这些标志的中文含义,有些学生还不是那么明确,导致作业上的翻译各种各样。这一点,下节课还有待于加强和训练。
