4. prove +(to be )+ adj./n. ( 此句型中的prove是系动词)
e.g. he proved (to be ) an honest friend.
事实证明他是一个诚实的朋友。
the cattle became tired and weak. 牲畜既劳累又虚弱。
[点拨] cattle 牛的总称或牲畜，前面不可加 a ,也没有 cattles 形式。作主语时，谓语动词用复数形式。
e.g.1cattle mainly feed on grass. 牛主要吃草。
e.g.2.twenty head of cattle have been bought in by farmers.
农民们买进了二十头牛。
[提示] 除cattle外，总是用作复数的还有people, police等。

[点拨] be/become accustomed to =be used to “习惯于”这里 的 “to” 是介词.

accustom (oneself ) to = make used to “使习惯于”
e.g. when he became a soldier , he had to accustom himself to long marches.
