  1. master the following words and expressions:
    suddenly, rabbit, party, fall (fell, fallen), hole, strange
  2. master the following everyday english:

  3. learn a new tense: the past continuous tense
  4. master the following prep. :
    about(关于), by(在……旁边), with(带着,拿着), past(超过), in(在……里面), on(在……上面)

   how to use the past continuous tense.
iii. teaching steps:
   step 1 revise “the present continuous tense” and lead-in “the past continuous tense”.
   step 2 practise using “the past continuous tense”.
   step 3 put on a short film.
   step 4 learn some words and expressions.
   step 5 act. 4: match the words with the expressions in act.4.
   step 6 introduce the characters in the story.
   step 7 act. 1: listen and number the characters.
   step 8 act. 2&3
1.let the students understand the dialogue with the pictures.
2.let the students read after the tape.
3.complete the table in act. 3, and then check.
4.ask and answer.
   step 9 sum-up (the teaching aims and demands)
   step 10 do exercises
1) practise speaking
2) choose the right answers.
3) complete the sentences with some prep.
