step 5:  listen to the tape.then finish 1b、2a、2b
一、教学sectiona-1b
1. 谈论图片所表达的信息,引出medical research,save money。
2.teacher:we are going to a conversation about their ideas about how to spend a million dollars.
  让学生听对话,写出相应的顺序。
  答案:2  1  4  3
二、教学sectiona 2a和2b
teacher:what would you do if you went to a party?
         what would you wear?
         what would you bring?
what would you talk to?
teacher:i think you’d feel nervous. do you think so ?
students:……
teacher: why is larry nervous?
步骤:初步听信息,由学生给出答案,如果不同意见教师进行解释,最后给出正确答案。
2.listen again.check the four things larry’s sister says to him.
利用多媒体课件中的sectiona 2a和2b的内容,让学生听并选择答案。
step 6:do exercises 课堂测试
step 7: sum up 让学生总结我们学了什么。
巩固主要词汇和句型,让学生在学习中通过接受新知识、观察知识结构,学会归纳总结,进一步培养他们主动获取知识和信息的能力。
step 8: homework
自己想像一些情景用所学句型描述出来,可以用对话的形式。
五、预习作业:掌握重点词组和句型
1.give it to medical research  把它捐给医疗研究机构
2.a milion dollars          一百万美金
3.worry about            担心           
4.what if                如果……将会怎么样?
5.take a small present     带一件小礼物     
6.be late for              迟到
1.what would you do if you had a million dollars?
     如果你有一百万美金你将做什么?
2.if he studied hard,he might pass the exam.
     如果他学习的话,他可能会通过考试。(事实上他不用功)
3.if i had got there earlier,i should(could) have met her.
    如果我早点到那儿,我就会见到她。(事实上,我去晚了。)
4.if he would come here tomorrow,i should(would)talk to him.
如果他明天来这儿的话,我就跟他谈谈! 
六、重点难点释义:
1. he doesn’t know if he should bring a present.
 此处 if 表示“是否”, 引导宾语从句。should此处表示“应该”, 不是虚拟语气。
 eg. ①. i don’t know if i should go to the party.
②. if i have enough money, i will go to hainan.
present 在这是“礼物”的意思。
2. if i were you, i’d wear a shirt and tie.
